Frodo lives, along with a bunch of other people. However, it's Frodo that we were really worried for

Ah, freedom. I was going to say "the sun is rising", but I'm not overpartial to the sun, so it doesn't really sum up my general feelings.

Blessed freedom comes close though.
I have so finished all my exams now... and simultaneously ran out of time to write about my week. Damn.
But, before I forget - cool people came into work, rented El Mariachi/Desperado, and I said "Rodriguez fan, or just a fan of El?" and they didn't look at me like I was crazy, they knew who Rodriguez is. And they were fans of El! Whee!
Talked with them and stuff, ah, it's so good to find random fans.

And now... adeiu. [but not forever]

I cant believe you're up so late. Shame on you!

[identity profile] arinellen.livejournal.com 2004-06-11 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a boarder. *laughs* Its my excuse for everything.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
It does not suffice to excuse you.

[identity profile] arinellen.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Ahhhhh! *runs in circles*
Okay... it was a joke. *pauses* you see, it was not to make you think but only to make you and [livejournal.com profile] bloodied_aura laugh.
You see, when I made the comment that she was up late it was a joke. A hypocritical comment which there would be a taint of the ironic in where, hopefully, she would laugh. Its like if I saw someone wearing the same pants as me, or who had the same hair colour I would say "OMG that is the ugliest hair/pants I have ever seen" (actually I probably wouldnt but its an example), hopefully (if they arent blind) they would see that I have the same p0ants/hair and then laugh.

I didnt know whether you were being serious or not but I thought to try and argue my point would be useless.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
I see. Unfortunately, I see too much hypocrisy over at [livejournal.com profile] pottersues to find it amusing.

[identity profile] arinellen.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Its just a joke.
Dont worry about it.

I'm sad though, you seem to lack the ability to laugh at the world. It gets me by.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Don't worry. Whereas I may lack that ability, Mia possesses it in abundance.

[identity profile] arinellen.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Never believe that your friends can cover your short comings. Not that its a bad thing.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Very good - why should I never believe? What is so advantageous about being able to laugh at the world?

[identity profile] arinellen.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
(never say never *laughs*)
You should never believe that because then you can become rather dependant on one person, not only making them responcible for you but making yourself weak.

If you can laugh at the world you can forget and forgive it for being unkind.
You also have more fun.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 08:52 am (UTC)(link)
First bit sounds better in German, I believe.

If you can laugh at the world you can forget and forgive it for being unkind.

Only because were you not to forgive it you would be hypocritical in assuming that the world would forgive you.

Surely the specialised nature of our society is based upon the principle of dependancy upon specialists?

[identity profile] arinellen.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 08:57 am (UTC)(link)
*nods*

Surely the specialised nature of our society is based upon the principle of dependancy upon specialists?
We shouldnt. I hope that if I were chucked out in the bush I could live one my own with no need of specialists.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
We shouldnt.

How would you have it? With massive inefficiency and limited technology (limited to sticks, most probably) due to complete generalisation?

[identity profile] arinellen.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 09:00 am (UTC)(link)
I dont think that would be bad and we should stop using [livejournal.com profile] bloodied_aura's journal.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 09:02 am (UTC)(link)
Why wouldn't that be bad?

What's wrong with using Meghan's journal?

[identity profile] arinellen.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 09:04 am (UTC)(link)
She'll end up with a thousand emails telling her of what we're saying, it would just be nice to keep out of her journal. I dont think she really wants to here us rambling away.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 09:07 am (UTC)(link)
Whether she chooses to be notified or not is her choice - and coping with the results of that choice is her responsibility. She herself says that she does not object.

Now... what were you saying?

[identity profile] arinellen.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 09:07 am (UTC)(link)
She has notified us. Please move to my journal, randomly select a entry and reply.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
Has she? I only asked her minutes ago. Can you please direct me to the notification?

[identity profile] bloodied-aura.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
please. my inbox = so full right now :d

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-06-15 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
If you don't mind my saying, the 4kb of a notification email is hardly likely to fill up your inbox. It would take possibly 200 posts to take up a single megabyte.

[identity profile] bloodied-aura.livejournal.com 2004-06-12 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
I know, disgusting, isn't it?
I was the living dead at work today, so I guess I learnt my lesson.
