ithika: (I can think of one - me)

I don't care if it's actually 'dolly', I really don't.

Well, today, frankly, didn't quite meet my expectations for a holiday day. It may have SuX0r3d. Going to work for 7 hours gets me down, you see.
But, on the up side, I saw The Crow. Liked it. A lot. Thanks for [livejournal.com profile] ummyep for telling me to see it. I was kinda planning to anyway, and it may have taken me a long time, but, nevertheless.
Very sad about Brandon Lee. Morbid curiosity makes me wonder which scene it was, or if it was cut. Prolly cut, prolly not even legal to include, you know?
But yeah. moste brilliant. Searching for pictures. Iconise. Mmm.

Work was, well, dull. Deeply dull. Shouldn't be surprising, but it was. Don't even remember any interesting people or ammusing conversations, such was the depth of the boredom. I don't think I was feeling very well, to tell the truth. Kept spacing out. But not spacing out in my normal way. Spacing out, thinking about bizarre, un-me things. Like clothes. But not clothes I like. Very, very unsettling. Usually, when I space out, I just don't think about anything for a few minutes, or think about something completely unrelated and involved. Thus glazed-eyed looks often ensue. Still with the glazed-eye-dom, but, worryingly distracted. And hair. People's hair caught my attention today. Must have been sick.

Oh, by the way.

Damnitall, I want that so much. So so much.
hell, I'm saving for alotta expensive stuff, huh. Better not loose my job, or anything inane and ridiculous like that.

Oh my god, I want to go on that ship. Who'd be interested? Able to save the money? Because, frankly, I am so there.
*whispers*so there.
So, what am I saving for now?
BOBW in March, and this in december.
Not to mention random splurges.
I can prolly do it.
Damnit, I can do it. I'm going on that ship. Australia's largest tall ship. Ohmgyog.

Modern accommodation below decks includes six and eight berth cabins.

You will be allocated a comfortable bunk and limited space for your personal luggage in your cabin.

There are separate bathrooms for men and women with limited hot, fresh water showers.

The main saloon area is the social centre of the ship it is the dining area, it houses the ship's library and is also a meeting place during crew discussions and expert presentations.

In the main saloon you can help yourself to coffee, tea or milo at any time, fresh fruit and biscuits are also available.

During the voyage our qualified chef provides a wide variety of delicious meals from the galley and can cater for most dietary requirements.

*pouts* Damn, they pansified it. May be forced to not eat anything but poorly salted meat and drink nothing but rum. And attempt to get scurvy. And go swimming fully clothed. Ok, so maybe I'd get thrown off. But, you know, I think that scurvy should be part of the programme.
Then we could all leave with "Kiss me, I've got scurvy!" or "I'm a scabrous dog - are you?" or "Bilge water is gross" or "mmm...salted meat and rancid rum" Tshirts.

And, damnitall, I want a musket. And an eyeglass. Mmm... tall ship.
I wonder if it has cannon? Ah, cannon. Mmmm.. boom.
Doubt it.

I think that's all now. Wow, that put me in a much better mood.

Much more affordable.

I think it'd be cool to shoot ballistae bolts at.

Yeah, ballistae bolts.

no, no, it has to be cannonballs. Balistae bolts must be used on ground-dwelling, poorly armed advancing armies of costumed people.

But can you use it close range? Heft it yourself? And use it underwater?

Nah stick to the crude, sharp metal spikes for me :)

so... HARPOON!

You can't heft a decent sized harpoon.

Decent? Who needs size when you have sharpness, and that point is debatable...

You need size for range and damage. And no it's not, you aren't a physically imposing person.

:P
Well I am not going to wield a cannon sized one. Stuff that, not worth the effort.

How physically imposing do I need to be to lift a sharp metal spike; besides, for all you know I could have grown to the size of Godzilla by now...

*sigh* I guess the harpoon was for close combat, ah well. Looks like I will have to settle for the giant mechanical shark... >:)
