Ithika, swashbuckling rogue of neutral evil

Yeah, so I -unsucsessfully- started a new game on NWN today, for my Vampire Rogue. I've decided that roleplaying her would be a good, easy way to develop her character (I=cheat). Of course, she's not a vampire in NWN, and she's not an Assassin, because I'm not playing SOU. But yes. Neutral evil, I decided, was the only way to go. *nods*

In other news, I saw King Arthur, ooh, I loffed it. *dances*

Yeah... haven't updated lately because I've had nothing to say, really. Bah!
Started colouring some sketches, but, no-where near finito, m'dears. Ahahahah.

Oh, there was some interesting incident at work on friday. The moral to the story is - never, ever play unlabeled VCDs you find in DVD cases, ever. Just don't do it, alright? Trust me on this.

And.. that is all.
Boring, I know.

So Swashbuckling is roughly equivalent to "carefree and aspects or characteristics", is it?

Perhaps some fixing up of the grammar is required.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-07-20 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Or indeed its being rendered less nonsensical is required. In any case, enough of my pedantry. What do you mean by "carefree"? Possibly "Free from cares"? In that case, to what sort of cares do you refer? How would you consider one carefree? And how do we accept your definition of swashbuckling?

[identity profile] tattered-pinion.livejournal.com 2004-07-20 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Ok, I'll be a little more serious.
Care free, free of cares if you will, I picture that as meaning that the character is unattached to family/friends/commitments to an extent and lives life primarily for themselves without permanent or semi-permanent reliances on specific externalities (Beyond the obvious).

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-07-20 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
I'd argue that these characteristics are more incined towards Evil, since a Lawful character can be unattached and independent if the principles require it.

[identity profile] tattered-pinion.livejournal.com 2004-07-20 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think they'd be Evilly inclined, a Good character could have no attachments except moral ones, and they could be internal.

Being 'swashbuckling' doesn't definitively make you Chaotic, but it's a strong component.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2004-07-20 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
I'd still argue that "so could a Lawful character", so swashbuckling is perhaps independent of Alignment.

[identity profile] tattered-pinion.livejournal.com 2004-07-20 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
I'd say it'd be independent, but with a Chaotic bent.

Well, you are better acquainted with these things than I, so I shall bow out.

Certainly. I'll give you a rematch sometime.

When I'm out of Wales, then.

That was deleted on account of incompetent spelling.

Agreed.

I noticed.
