Beware the green-eyed monster
Mar. 17th, 2004 02:54 pmWell, last night I saw Othello, and it was probably my favourite stage production to date, perhaps on par with The Tempest, although I think the story to Othello's a bit more intriguing. [I think..]
The best actor from Tempest played Cassio [Played Ariel - probable SP], and did it quite well, although Cassio should probably have been tall and handsome [as opposed to medium-short and handsome :P], because of his personality.
Iago was brilliant. The actor portrayed him very well, and, as
lone_one pointed out, when he was being nice [pretending to be, rather], he was perfectly nice. I was thinking about that, and decided that it would be unsettling. And suspicious.
If only Othello had spoken to Emilia... bah! Of course he woulnd't have though, because he's Othello... And that actor was rather good, considering he'd had all of 2 weeks to learn the part, which is quite the acheivement.
The use of the stage was also very good, because the stage is very small... and the audience is on 3 sides [front, left, right], which initially worried me, because sometimes the actors had to have their backs to the audience. But it was made up for by the closeness of them, and the way they used the space. It was tres cool.
Guh! I want to be in a play!
Whee! POTC dvd tonight, ahahah!
BLOOPER RHEEL!! WHEEEE!
*cough*
And, as it happens, I'm doing my public speaking tomorrow [guh! Now I look like I'm blushing, which, I suppose, is better than looking like I'm bleeding from the eyes0|2Z... Hahah.] Yeah.
auntpol's speach was velly entertaining [naturally - nicely done Aunt Pol]... and I'm looking forward to it... guh, ::hearts public speaking::
AH! That song shouldn't be sung by a guy, and it shouldn't be rock, damn them and their covers/mollestations of songs. As surprising as it is that *I* should ever suggest that something should be un-rock, whatever. And, I actually did like that song, to tell the truth. Hrn, I always think of it as Coby's song, and Coby always reminded me of my cousin [Danielle]. Straaaange.
Bonnie sends hello and tail-wagging jumping up and down greetings with leaving white fur on you to everyone.
Was thinking of having a party in her honour. She will, after all, be ten this year, which is quite an impressive age for a dog that most people assume is only just out of puppy-hood.
La la la... I'm getting me a laptop. More news on that as it progresses. Also, I'm getting me an elitist phone. This is largely the fault of my wanting a digital camera [spontaneously, and for no good reason], so I figured that I'd get me a phone with a camera and kill two birds with one stone... well, maybe not kill.
And... my livejournal should be paid soon. But I don't know how long post takes to get to the US of A from here. Bah! But when it does, it'll be for a whoooole year, wha-hay. *dances stupidly*
Hrn, I might go do something vaguely useful now. Baies.
[One-way Conversation with Candeh, in Interactive.. yeah, I was staring at her... muahahah]
Ha ha Candy... I can touch type!!!! Bwahahahaha.. oh, hehe. *grins* Aw, you make me sad. :( *tear face* Yes, I love you too.
