I couldn't find a suitcase small enough
Feb. 27th, 2004 11:10 pmI have alot to say.
Firstly, if you're going to be offended by my un-sadness, please skip todays entry.
I really, really enjoyed this movie.
For one, the soundtrack alone would make it worth watching even if nothing else was any good. The soundtrack, in my official opinion, was brilliant. Of course, I like guitar. I like accoustic guitar with all my heart, and that, my friend, contains alot of really really impressive accoustic guitar.
I want El Mariachi's guitar. Ahah
"We want Mariachi"
"Which one?"
"El."
{El meaning the}
{oh, and mariachi meaning guitar}
Of course, certain people will assume that the only reason I like the character that I'm about to rant about the insane coolness therein is due to the actor he's played by. Please don't bother commenting. It won't change what I think and it won't change what you thing - it is moot point.
But Sands is an utter champion. His character is absolutely everything that I admire. Bar a few qualities like morality.
But he's utterly, utterly cool. And so chaotic neuteral it makes my little chaotic neuteral heart brim with pride.
Of course, the Paladin dissagrees that he's morally bankrupt and insists he's only morally impaired [so that she's able to think he's 1337]
But yes. He's the serious spoilerage [quotes], so hear me! read no further if spoilers thou dost fear!
Sands: I couldn't find a suitcase small enough.
::puts small kids pencil tin/lunchbox on table::
....stuff...
EP[eyepatch]:$10,000 isn't enough to kill me over.
:: Sands stares at him evenly::
EP: you wouldn't dare. you wouldn't dare.
::walks out::
:: Sands mouthes "Oh yes I would"::
Sands: In fact, it's too good. So, I'm going to finish my meal, pay my check, walk out the back, into the kitchen, pull out my gun and kill the chef. Because that's what I do. I restore order to the system.
El Mariachi: You want me to kill the Chef?
Sands: No, I'll kill the chef. My car's out the back anyway.
Faceless minion traitor bastard: I can't do that
::Sands stares at him evenly::
Sands: Are you a Mexi-can or a Mexi-can't?
and many other priceless acts of coolness, not the least of which being *does not speak*
"That spill just cost you your life"
So yeah. I loffed the movie. I will now have to see El Mariachi [although it's in Spanish] and Desperado.
Expect my LJ to feature Sands. And soon. Ooh, or maybe El Mariachi. Or both.
No, not both.
