A! Elbereth! Gilthoniel!
Dec. 30th, 2003 10:05 pmYeah, yeah, I know I need to
1) stop updating
and
2) talk about something other than The Lord of the Rings...
but spare me, I'm just a poor devotee.
I was thinking about the books and the movies, [what, again]
and I realised that even though the movie is in places drastically different from the books, leaving out characters [like Elladan and Elrohir *sob*], and *narrows eyeses* putting Elves in Helm's Deep, but in all, the LOTR movies are about as faithful to the books as any movie could be, and even if it wasn't, I absolutely adore them. I could go on forever, but this is a self relevation that, likely, none of you will understand... hah, because this is my mind we're venturing into, and it's a dangerous and scary place.
Point: Viggo Mortensen was born to play Aragorn, and if he doesn't get an oscar of some description I'm going to.. write a highly affronted letter to the acadamy
point: Witch King of Angmar :*shivers* damn cool
Point : Minas Tirith = to be built when I take over the world, and I shall live there, and it's citizens shall be hand picked. [grafitti-ing shall be punishable by death]
Oh, I didn't actually say much of what I wanted to at all, but I understand. Books = genius
Movies = masterful, and as good as they, in all honesty, could have been [damn good, in other words - there are no other movies]
