Today, was a good day. Good, in that nothing much happened, and none of that which did happen was completely undesirable.
Actually, now I think about it, the events of the day have faded into an indistinct haze, which is slightly unnerving. May be due to my uncanny tiredness... unexplainable.
Firstly, the apparant screening of "Live From Faraway Stables" was... dissapointing. It wasn't even the whole thing, almost, considering how tired I was, a complete waste of time. Salvaged of course by the fact that it was Silverchair, but still... a thought that occoured to me as I was watching it - why was I staying up to watch a chopped up and mutilated, add-intersected, stereo sound, dodgy picture version of the thing when I could watch it in semi-surround sound, with DVD-quality picture, no adds, in all it's 2-and-a-bit hour glory? But, nevertheless, I persevered. They'd better appreciate that. should have gone to sleeep
Oh, there was one of those adds that "Nothing Suss" was a take of.. and it was scary, now, let us never speak of it again.
Thismorning... *thinks* Oh, I cleaned up my room yesterday, and, you know what, I have a floor! Yes, it is true.
Also re-arranged posters. There's more on the roof now. And more LOTR. Thought it was fitting. (The extent of my room's Christmas-bedecking is now complete)
Dammit. Why did I click that? Now Arcanum's going to open up, and I can't play it, because I don't have the bloody CD in, do I? Oh, no... wait... apparantly, I have. *it loads* Ah! No! No! *claws at the screen* *undead skeletons appear*
Ooh, I do have the CD in. That's good for it. Will I take it out? No, surely you jest.
And I have returned, with my fruitbox of "Golden Pash Fruit Drink" Yes, laugh as I know you will. Laugh, laugh laugh. We have no mixed up cordial, what is this world coming to?
Oh, and my plastic-bracelet count is now up to 34. A bit pedantic perhaps (HA! Pedantic much) But I am not to be outdone, oh, no. Seeing how many 34 looks like, however, I have agreed with myself not to get 60 as I origionally planned. I'd have no arm left, you see.
What did I do today? Oh yes. Well, the begining of the day is shrouded in fog, so let's not bother to remember, as that would require effort... more effort perhaps than typing in all of this. Oh, yes.
What did I do?
*pause* didn't eat breakfast, for one thing. Oh, that's just brilliant for the metabolism, dear.
Ha, not that I care, but it's something to whinge about, isn't it?
I know I walked Bonnie, sometime in the arvonoon. When it was too hot to be walking around in the sun. Bonnie appreciated it, however, and she talked to the black Lab at the pet store. I went as far as the toy shop, which may have been subconciously my entire purpose of going... [don't tell Bonnie] You see, they have a wall of ROTK. A Wall of ROTK. Yes, yes. It's cool. And bankrupting. Luckily, I don't take my wallet with me when I walk Bonnie, and luckily, I wouldn't leave her outside to buy something anywhoo. But, oh, the temptation. I'm sure the store guys wouldn't care, she's not a slobbery dog. Just hairy.
Oh! That's right, I went shopping, and got Jack's present. A cup thing (hey, he wanted it) and a thing. Yeah. Ooh, I'm going to the Galleria tomorrow! *squee* To look at shoes, jeans and, most importantly, LOTR JEWELERY!! Stores on Australian, Western Australian shores finally have... wait for it... Lothlorien Elven Brooches!! *spins around* That will look simply fabulous on my Cloak. *is very happy indeed*
No-one mention prices.
Shut it.
Uh!
Stoppit!
*pokes*
Thankyou. Also, I think I've convinced my mum that seeing POTC would be a good mum-daughter outing. I hope we get to see it... I really do think she'd like it. Really.
Aaand, I designed a new layout for Savvy?, this one being more... hmm, show-offy, than the current, plainer layout (which I do like), but of course I'm too lazy to put it up just yet.
Also played Zelda.
Did I mention that I finished Wind Waker a few days ago? Oh, that game rocks so much. If you're going to buy a GCN for the express purpose of playing it, do it!
The final battle with Gannon is so so cool. It's actually... proper-ish sword fighting, and it's hard. ^_^
Thankfully, due to my completely outrageous number of hearts I didn't die... haahahaaah, Link rocks so much.
So, the final verdict?
Not as good as OOT. (Heh. not to be expected) Better than MM. (Surprising)
No, maybe not better than, on par with.
Yeah, today I was playing the second play-thru... which is surprisingly annoying. Link doesn't have his Kokiri Tunic, which makes me sad. I miss it. Now he wears this weird shrimp shirt (blue) and orange trousers. The first outfit he wears in the game. It's strange. More sailor-ish, but nowhere near as cool. *grumbles* I want Traditional Link back.
The ironic thing is, Shrimpy-Link understands Ancient Hylian, which makes the game much sadder... to me. Stupid sentimental Zelda-playing-'Ghan misses OOT, and can't believe she doesn't have Master Quest, which I'm sure I've whinged sufficiently about in the past.
Got up to the Great Deku Tree... and it was so sad. :( [not saying much... spoils OOT, I think, oh, I don't remember... see, I have to play it again]
Then what did I do? Oh yeah, cashed the cheque from the Angry Hairy French Man Restaraunt thing, and went to help set up Jack's (brothers) (not Jack's brothers - he doesn't have a brother, Jack, my brother) year 7 wrap up party social thing. Not fair, it was in an old nightclub. We never got no dinky, cigarette-smelling, old carpet having fake leather couches nightclub.
It actually looked pretty cool by the time I got bored and we left... stars everywhere. Shiney, glittery, tiny.
Heheh.
Yeah, I think that chronicles my day so far.
Oh, but I almost forgot!
Egads, and this was the coolest part, too.
That ROTK thing on TV.
It was interesting. Lots of connecting stuff. Tolkien would, in hindsight, probably not have approved of said connection making. However, it was clearly based on the movies (as one would expect) as they linked the Elves ariving at Helms Deep with the same feeling of winning Agincourt, I think. That may have been something else, but Agincourt was definately mentioned, which made me happy.
yeah... that was my day. I could cut some stuff... but hey, I like big long entries. *refuses to cut*
