Yeah. You may have noticed that I've cheated and updated a day behind. I am not terribly terribly sorry, however.
:P
Yeah, well, today (in past tense, oh, I give up now) I went into Perth with Tab! It had been too long, we had a lot of catching up to do, and so talked alot - alot! Surprisingly, we didn't spend much money at all.
Also saw Michael W. from primary school (who's friends with Tab in a distant sortof way) who I hadn't seen since either year 5 or 3. O.o hehe, he hadn't changed much, still quiet, but much taller, and that age thing. It was interesting.
Went to the Art Gallery and saw the coolest cool picture - it was funny, both Tab and I instantly thought it was the coolest picture in the gallery. It was of an old forest at night, all the trees were black silouhettes (oh, I know it's spelt wrong, so you don't have to tell me, in fact, I will now write it like this - Qsilouqhetxteques, to make a point)
and it was night, with mists and it spoke things to me. *nods* it was a special painting.
And there was the stoner painting, which moves when you move, very trippy, and the wall-spread of all different angles of rooms on top of one another.
Those were my favourites.
There is alot of weeeeiird stuff in there.
Weeeeeird.
There was this one painting that looked infinitely improved upside down, while I was upside down, that is.
Then we went and met Kyle (Tabs rather significant other), and walked around more.
[Note to self: Must have KFC soon - must have popcorn chicken, and must have kids meal. 13 times. mustmustmust. or will die]
and theeeen, Kyle wandered off, and we randomly met Steven (whom most of you will have met) at the museum, and looked at the dinosaurs (because that is the single best part of the entire CITY)
and Steven made the brilliant point "Dodos were stupid" then laughed and walked off. I thought I would mention that, because it was terribly amusing at the time.
Train home was interesting. Train rides always are.
[remembers the only time she and her mum managed to coax her dad onto a train - it stopped, and we waited on the broken thing for 2 hours. that was 8 years ago, and he hasn't been on a train since.. *mirth*]
Then it was off to Aunty Terry's. Pizza! Lemon Meraroi;hgroig pie!
Swans! Chasing my brother! Ahahaaah!
yeah, the swans were grand. There were 18 of them. Eighteen. Big, toothed swans. One came up to our table, and my brother was teasing it, and hissing at it, so the swan puffed up, hissed, and chased him. Hahaha.
Then walked down the river, talked to my dad. It was good, usually my dad's asleep or at work, so I don't get to have looong talks with him.
mainly talked about dogs.
There were lots of dogs at the park along the river. which is noteworthy.
Then drove home. Listening to Queen of the Damned soundtrack, looking out the window, with the window opened, of course.
The night is so so infinitely cool.
Strange thing happened, though. I was looking at the moon, all shrouded in clouds, and I kept seeing all these dragon faces around it. It was really cool, but incredibly unusual.
Then went and saw Master and Commander with
tattered_pinion, and Tab and Kyle randomly showed up. I think it's possible that I was supposed to know about this, but evidently, I'd been informed of it towards the end of the amazingPerthadventure, and hadn't stuck in my brain, which didn't alltogether surprise me.
My opinion: It didn't seem to have as strong a plot as it could have, it was interesting - two hours of side story, as it were. A good sidestory, but a side story none the less. (Ie - no Napoleon... :( ) my favourite character was the naturalist guy.
lone_one if you see this, and he reminds you of Daniel, stargate Daniel, I will not be surprised. On that note, anyone that knows what other movie he was in.. tell me. It's irksome. Of course, I can't tell you what movie I'm thinking of.
And, of course, Pippin was in the movie, sept people kept calling him other things.
And, although 18th... 19th... century war galleys are undeniably very, very cool, there is still very very very little that is cooler than a 16th... 17th... century war galley. nothing. very little. nothing that's not elvish or of elvish decent. or make.
And, I liked POTC more, because:
soundtrack. soundtrack of POTC is so so cool.
16th (17th) century war galleys
fantastical element.. legend.. fantasy. yes. I am definately hopeless, and terribly, terribly sad.
oh, and I liked the plot
and the characters
and the costumes. hee.
BUuuuuuuuut. Aside from the obvious exceptions of LOTR (which is incomparable), Matrix, POTC and the Ring, would be the best movie I've seen in a long time. Heheheh. It was actually, on second thoughts, really cool.
Heheh.
And it had dragons.
Swimming dragons. *nods*
Also, I want a war galley sail ship. Now. 16th(17th) century preferred, 18th(19th) accepted. In good working order, life size. Need an able bodied crew. Or a group of pyscho fanatical want to be sailers of the high seas matey, you scurvy dog you. Pirates, privateers or others, don't care, as long as you don't intend to steal my ship or my rum.

Your dominant hue is red... you are passionate, energetic, and unafraid of life's changes. You're all about getting out and trying something new, even if it means taking risks that other people would be afraid of. Hey, if they're afraid and you're not, more power to you, right? Your saturation level is low - You stay out of stressful situations and advise others to do the same. You may not be the go-to person when something really needs done, but you know never to blow things out of proportion. Your outlook on life is very bright. You are sunny and optimistic about life and others find it very encouraging, but remember to tone it down if you sense irritation. |

I'd be a Commodore, or an Admiral. You can be a Captain and have your ship, just sort of stay away from me, no offense.
