Today was interesting, and I found out that there are only a few exams that will kill me if I fail them, which is good.
But the main thing is, I'm getting a B in maths! A B! As in, better than C! Which is really quite extraordinary.

Also, the Cold War was stupid, petty, stupid, petty and stupid.

Also, on contemplation from yesterday, when I watched the Patriot, I think it's possible that alot of American people that are arrogant about being American are so because of the war of Independance. Which is stupid, because all of the people (men) who fought that war are long dead. So being arrogant about it is none of their business really, I mean, yeah. They had no part whatsoever in it, so they shouldn't be all... nyeah.
Also, I find it vastly amusing that such an "American pride" movie starred two Australian actors. Heath Ledger is actually an Australian citizen, and I think Mel Gibson is now, too. Ahah.

But that, is all random drivel, thankyou goodnight

That dude rocked. He sure showed those rebels where to go. Good swordsman as well, I mourn his passing.

And, (not meaning to go out of my way to disagree...but) that thing about the soldiers being dead, and thus not something to be proud of. That's a pretty sad thought. I mean, I'm proud of what Australian soldiers have done, regardless of if they are dead or not. More so if they are dead possibly. I mean, WWI, they are mostly dead, and rememberance day is all about honoring them.
Lest we forget, remember?

I didn't mean that. I don't mean not to be proud of them, because I'm proud of Australian soldiers, like you said.
What I meant was, being arrogant about people that... oh, it's basically a vague idea of "those soldiers didn't die so you could be arrogant about stuff"
it's incredibly vague now, I wish I understood myself

They actually did die partially for arrogance. They wanted freedom, they wanted to be a separate state, where they could pursue their American ideals (like carrying guns everywhere, like schools...)

Well, I found that if I don't pass my chemistry exam, I don't pass at all. D'you know how shit that makes you feel when you were on a high A at the beginning of the year?

A lot of things human kind has done are petty and stupid.

Without war, most of the scientific thingames that we have today wouldn't exist.
