I went into a Louis Vitton store the other day. (I said "VL, what's that?" To Gavin, to give some idea of how much I'm into these things) you know, just for a look, and I was totally disappointed. All of the bags were the same and boring, and some were frankly hideous! There was nothing amazing, nothing that would make you stand out and look interesting, just boring brown-and-tan leather bags with "LV" stamped all over them. Frankly, I don't see the point of ever paying a thousand dollars for a handbag, but if I ever did plan to go to that level of extravagance, I certainly wouldn't settle for something so same-y. Are designers lazy these days or is the Perth branch of Louis Vitton only allotted the most boring of all the designs?
I've seen bags for 20 or 60 dollars that I've liked more than those!

Um.
Other news?
Life is good!
I'm going to format Elbereth now, SO, life might be less good in a few hours but... ah well.

Date: 2009-03-11 02:13 pm (UTC)The other thing is that the real ones look just like the fake ones! I mean, what's the point! I assumed the real store would have cool stuff, but it was just the same tacky crap. :( Made me a bit sad inside. But I guess it's a good thing, I don't really want to fall in love with a $1000 + handbag, because I would just be dooming myself to a life of woe and tourment.

Panda -The handbag (http://www.yesstyle.com/en/Product.aspx?pid=1005038020§ion=bags). I am in love with YesStyle. :P
There is a brand of handbags that just make ones that look like animals.
I'm considering splurging (they aren't that expensive, the panda one is like $100, but that's because it's in an overnight sized bag, but it's not made out of leather... poo.)
