Her heart pounded a harsh rhythm in her chest.
Even though the gap through the rough boards of the door was dusty, and with each breath the stuff was disturbed, irritating her wide hazel eye, she couldn't look away.
She didn't know how they'd gotten in here, and she didn't really want to know. This wasn't her house, after all. She didn't even know why there was a house in the middle of the woods like this, nearly overgrown, nearly hidden in the debris of the forest.
It had been a search for mushrooms that led her away from the well-trodden path earlier that morning, and it had been brazen curiosity that led her in here. She doubted that the wolf was interested in either.
A tiny cry escaped her as a crash of kitchen-metal erupted out of nowhere. The pots had all been old, tarnished and dented. She couldn't tell if someone had lived here recently, but if they had, they obviously didn't have much care for the little house, with all the benches rotten as they were.

blah blah maybe I'll finish it later.
I don't think it's very good. She's some kind of kitchen hand. Blah.
