I just had to use the word baleful, and I couldn't think of anything particuarly witty using it, so I did the next best thing, and just used the word with another word, to make a title. Great, isn't it?

So anyway, I need a name for my dwarf gouramis. I was thinking something Arthurian-legend inspired, like Guenivere and Lancelot, BUT I thought
  1.     all of those couples are much too ill-fated to be "encouraging breeding names" for a pair of fish
  2.     The only set that I really liked was Mab and Mordred, and I can only remember Mab from the tv movie with Sam Neil, so I don't know if she's even a proper Arthurian character, Mordred is sometimes her son (but also sometimes her lover, so it COULD work), but he was easily one of the MOST ill-fated of all the characters so again, not a great choice
  3. I think they might both be male? Maybe? At least, the female is showing DECIDEDLY male tendencies, despite obvious physical features which should make her, a her. These male tendencies include building a nest and attacking the other male (who I thought would be dominant because he's bigger and prettier. But alas! If there is a fatality, it's likely to be my favourite one. Blast. Hopefully it won't come to that. But I can't watch them every second, and they're not violent enough to separate them permanently and ROON the pretty of my tank.
So I was thinking it might be cool to give them a couple name from any story that has two guys that love but HATE but love each other, but I can't think of any. If anyone squeals "Snarry snarry!" with fangirlish glee I swear I'll hurt them. But now I can't get it out of my head. Snarry is a cute sounding word.  HOWEVER I must put forth pictures of my pretty girl (boy?) to the experts to try to discern whether s(h)e actually is... whichever one she is. It's possible she is actually a he with stunted fins. Which means I probably shouldn't have picked... him. HURR. So hold that thought. Any Arthurian names would still be awesome.

I also got two bristlenose catfishies! Big ones! Maybe 7cm long? Ish? They're awesome. I have to think of an encouraging name for them, because the  female is fat with eggs(es, precious), so I want them to make with the loving.

I was going to post photos but I'm not feeling so great. I'll post photos... eventually. Check my Flickr, there's like, stuff and stuff, on there.
