(no subject)

Simply had to update before it wasn't 06.06.06 anymore.
Although really, it's not all that evil. There are zeroes all over the place.
The apocalypse only has 11 minutes to come, and then the jokes on you, doomsayers!!
Ha, ha, ha.

Oh. I might not be online much/active in the internets for a while, because I'm feeling kind of like avoiding it, also am planning to study responsibly and see how I like it. Or some random thing, like walking my dog, fixing my gamecube, getting healthy (ha!) going fishing, washing the car. Ya know, that sorta thing. I'll check my email though, or you could always sms/get someone who has my mobile number to sms me.

see you all around.

Um, 6/6/6 was in 2002 or something. =P

[identity profile] louisthefly.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
not on the modern gregorian calendar it wasn't

[identity profile] penchaft.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
It's based from when Jesus was born, in 4BC

[identity profile] louisthefly.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
well the point between bc and ad doesn't directly occur on Jesus's birthday, which is either on some december 25th (which is unlikely because of the stars and the weather) or some summer within a few years of the point between bc and ad

he was born four years before christ? that would be like saying I was born sometime four years before Louis. Which would just be silly. Which is probably part of the reason the change to BCE and...the opposite of BCE was made. No-one uses it though, it's still BC and AD

[identity profile] penchaft.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
BCE and CE were introduced because not everyone wants a calendar which references that shmuck of a hippy.

How was it in 2002?
That'd be... Ohhhh riiiight.
:P

[identity profile] louisthefly.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
actually it's 8:32 am, and in parts of the world it will be 6/6/06 for another 11 hours and 28 minutes

and the devil's number is actually 999, apparently. I don't know enough about the bible to confirm

[identity profile] tajjster.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Er... biblical scholars consider 666 the 'number of the beast', from a reading of Revelation 13:17-18. Although, there has been some consideration that the number may have indeed been 616, as it is written in some older manuscripts of the same book.

I don't know where you pulled 999 from. The only remote significance it has is that it's a vertical reflection of the number (and incidentally, the number for emergency services in a variety of commonwealth countries including the UK and Singapore).

[identity profile] louisthefly.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
just what I'd heard from various sources (and more than just the film end of days). I had also heard 616 though. As I can't read ancient hebrew, or any other languages the bible would have been written in, I don't speak with absolute certainty.
