ithika: (Ouch. Petrol!)

Seriously, I have no idea how it already got to be the fourth month of the year. Why, it's practically June already. Eesh. Especially these last few weeks. It seems like it's the weekend, then half an hour later it's Monday, then three hours later it's friday night again.
On that note I'd like to apologise to people for not being around in Unisfa lately. Last week it was because I was like "OH GOD ASSIGNMENTS" and I wanted to get them all finished by Friday (and I did, is anyone proud of me?), but I don't really know what my excuse the wek (hehe, wek) before was, because I think I may have only been in to unisfa on Tuesday that week. So, I am sorry. I can say that part of the reason is that Architecture is so bloody far from anywhere, when you have an hour break it's hardly worth walking somewhere it takes me 20 minutes to get to and 20 minutes to get back from, you know? But yeah. I know, I am a bad person.
Also, I'm avoiding unisfa because I tend to spend money I don't have while I'm there. And seriously folks, I have no money at the moment. You know it's bad when you feel happy in the knowledge that you can put $10 in your bank account to save, and then feel terribly sad when you realise you'll have to spend some of it tomorrow anyway.

It hit me the other day that for the first time in 3 years I won't be a member of the LAS, silverchair will again be releasing an album. God damnit.

Skittles are like little crunchy, sugary balls of joy.

I had another very good weekend. The main bit of it was Saturday night, in which I went into Northbridge with Gavin and some of his mates from uni. I won't name them for a few reasons, the first, but not the main reason being that none of you would know them, so it hardly makes any difference anyway. I drove in and out which was interesting. In my car, yay. Also went to a Chinese restaurant beforehand in "Chinatown", an area I never even realised existed. Did anyone else know there is a whole, separate-from-the-rest-of-the-world villiage (yes, it's pronounced vil-i-age, and it's deliberate, but I couldn't say why) thing behind that red archway thing along that street? Oh aye. You know that one. Well. I didn't. But there is. It's incredible.
So we went to Metro City, where I had never been before, and I found that even though I generally despise.. um.
Okay, here's the thing. I thought I knew the difference between Rap, Hip-Hop and R&B, but apparently I don't, since apparently Eminem is a Hip-Hop singer, and I thought he was Rap. WHO KNOWS. I'm just going to assume that R&B is the one I don't like as a general rule, although having said that I'm almost definitely wrong. The point being it was music I don't normally like at all being rather fun anyway. And they played that song I liked by... possibly the Bomfunk MCs or something like that... which I haven't heard in the last forever so I was pretty happy.
On the note of interesting things about music, it's a crying shame that Rhythm and Blues changed into distasteful (or at least, possibly, who knows?!) R&B. Finally, "The Final Countdown" was on the radio while I was driving, and I've decided it's good driving music, although it being on the radio amused me greatly. Can someone send me the MP3? Thanks heaps.

And that's pretty much it from me this evening. Or morning. Dun dun dun.

It's not really. Not at all.

Final countdown mixed with Happy Tree Friends theme.
I stuck another couple of songs in there for good measure too, just to see how they'd turn out.
Doctor Who and Benny Hill themes work disturbingly well together.

Hm, if only I could remember the Happy Tree Friends theme...
