1. Describe how you feel about Order of the Phoenix. (your initial reaction)
It would have been my favourite book if Sirius hadn't been the one to die. I think it's only second to Azkaban plot wise, possibly better, but I'm in a little state of denial towards that possibility.
2. What are your feelings on Harry's personality? Do you think he is overly cynical, depressed, etc. . . .?
He's more realistic, more like a real teenager, in my opinion. Messed up in the head. The YELLING IN CAPS was a little annoying. What's wrong with bold?
3. List your five most liked characters (either in Book 5 or the whole series, non-humans can be included).
*1- Sirius Black
*2- Remus Lupin
*3- Fred & George, or Gred and Feorge
*4- Ron
*5- Draco Malfoy
4. List your five most hated characters (either in Book 5 or the whole series, non-humans can be included).
*1- Bellatrix Lestrange
*2- Umbridge
*3- Kreacher
*4- Wormtail
*5- hmmm.. don't know. Will have to think on it. Percy, for now.
5. Percy turned away from his family. Will he come crawling back to them now or . . .?
Percy's a bastard. But, he's pigheaded, so no, he won't. Molly would accept him back, though, Arthur might and Fred and George never would. I don't know about the others, though. Ginny prolly wouldn't, as she's quite simmilar to Gred and Feorge.
6. What did you think of the new DADA's punishment? Why didn't Harry nor Lee complain?
Not sure what this question reffers to, I assume it's in reference to all of Umbridge's actions...
It was horrible.. great... it's good to get that angst going. I think it did alot for the story, actually, as much as I hate her.
Harry and Lee? Harry didn't complain because Harry hated Umbridge too much to say anything. Lee? I don't remember any significant events involving Lee
7. What do you think of James and Lily now?
Ooh, James is an ass. I didn't expect it, but he is. Sirius was just how I imagined him as a marauder, and Lupin was close to the mark. James... was a dissapointment. I never thought of him as a cruel bully-type. So I sympathise with Snape now. Lily, bah, Lily reacted to James basically the way that fanfics have been portraying her to act for yeeears. no surprise, and no change in feelings towards her.
8. Has your opinion (which is probably not too good) of Petunia Dursley changed? If yes, how so?
Nope.
9. What's the meaning of Snape's nickname in your opinion?
Snivellus is obviously just a play on Severus. Probably doesn't have any meaning, except to cause hurt. Why would it have a meaning?
10. What do you think of the character death? Do you think he will return?
Really irked rather alot, as I would have preferred any character to die apart from Sirius. As much as I hope it's not true, I don't think he'll be coming back. His death, I think, was used by JK to start weaving more complexities into Harry's character. However, I hold true to my theory that there was no blood, no body and no funeral, and so he's not really Dead.
11. Do you think fanfiction will be hurt by Book 5? Do you see any new pairings arising? Do you see any huge ships falling apart?
Nope. People that don't want Sirius to be dead won't let him be. Simple. Fanfiction is just that. What the fans want to happen, or would like to write about. Of course it will make way for new kinds of fanfics, but it won't kill any old kinds.
12. What was your favorite chapter in Order of the Phoenix?
Don't have one. The one I remember most, though, is the christmas one, when Sirius was so very very happy to have friends over for Christmas, and to have people with him, and not be alone anymore.
Obviously a piece put in by Rowling to further twist the dagger in the hearts of the Sirius fans.
13. Talk about Fred and George's "flight."
Aha! I love those guys! Beautiful, artful. I'm looking forward to seeing what havoc they wreak on Diagon Alley.
14. Give some thoughts on Ron.
Aww, ikle Ronnikins is all grown up now.
Heh. It's good that he's a prefect, but yeah. I have nothing else to say.
15. What did you think of Dumbledore's explanation?
Shite. It's all his fault, I hate him.
16. Do you feel satisfied by this book?
Not so much satisfied as clinically depressed. When I finished it I never wanted to read another book, ever again. Every other book has left me wanting to read the next one, and only last week did I decide that I would in fact read the 6th book. It's incredibly depressing and dissatisfying. Not happy. Doesn't mean it's crap, however, but I'm not happy.
17. How anxious are you now for Book 6?
Beh.
And there it is, folks
