Yes, in my tourment as to making some sort of decision about I can't decide whether to kill him or kill Gorgotha, I've magically rediscovered my old fandom of Digimon. Ya know, an good fandom just doesn't stay down. Or rather, obsessive fandoms just don't stay down.
But anyway, in honour of two things:
1. The Fact that I have 100 icon spacess
and
2. For my dear friend lone_one

If you read it and out of some kind of masochism or morbid curiosity, I actually did write all of it, I just never bothered to type it up. If you request, I will dig up the book it's in and complete the "masterpiece." I may well post it anyway... be warned...

You know, saying "Death alone cannot part us" means that death is the only thing that can't part them, which means that EVERYTHING except death can part them.
Like butterflies or hopscotch.

Or it can be taken to say not just death can part them... like death and butterflies can part them... or death, butterflies and hopscotch.

Hm, y'see, I never saw that possibility of interpretation before. But you know, I was reading it yesterday and my god [it's so funny and angsty, and bad] it... is to the standard of the writing.
But the way that it was meant to be read is that it would take more than Death to part their mushy, kid-friendship-heart-thingies.
Perhaps hopscotch or butterflies, like Anonymous here so aptly put it.
