Oh, God damn it.
Jun. 11th, 2005 07:51 pmStupid Aviator makes me respect Leonardo DiCaprio's actingness. I was hoping never to forgive him for Titanic, but now, coupled with Romeo + Juliet I don't see that I have a choice.
But yes. I liked Cate Blanchette in it. Again. Amazingly, I liked both of the main characters, when both of them had incredibly irritating voices and accents.
In other news, some filth-man came into work last night. I swear, he had mange, or something. He... was not a comforting person to have around. Am so so glad that I was not there by myself. He was bleeding, too, which filled me with revulsion/terror. Because there must have been alot of it - I could smell it from across the counter and away. And he was walking around with a woman's handback filled with audio cassettes, an old-looking DVD player and a box or two of random junk... Richard and I thought he must have broken into something, smashing the window or whatever with his fist, which is why he was bleeding, but he may also have been drunk/stoned/both. He smelt sooooo bad.
I guess I may have felt sorry for him, had I not been afraid of contracting hideous airborne diseases, or somehow coming into contact with blood oozed on counter, and contracting some horrible disease, like AIDs or HIV, or both, which he probably had, or mange, or rabies, or scabies, or whatever. Yeah.
It wasn't pleasant, but it was an experience, so I thought I'd share.
I also had my very first exam panic attack today. Aww.

Date: 2005-06-11 12:41 pm (UTC)I'll be there right along with you, as well as Teesh and James, so you'll be among friends to make you feel better.
Failing that, the three of us could just lynch James. :P
As for your sucky customer story: I know exactly how you feel. When I was working at Harveys I had a guy come in who was completely off his face. I (virtually single-handedly) managed to get him out of the store without causing a fuss, and when he finally left, I took a breather. Looked at my counter. At the blood that was on it.
And guess who had to clean that up.... :/

Lynch James, eh? Aw, I don't know, then who would make all the bad jokes and rampant sexual inuendos?
Yikes. Hate customers! hate them! [Well. Most of them. No, I lie. Some of them...]
