For the twelve years that I’ve known him I’ve treated him like a powerful creative furnace that I must feed with insults and contempt in order to produce clean, warm creativity. My greatest fear is that he will one day die or feel true joy. "
- Gabe [Penny Arcade], on his relationship with Tycho [Also Penny Arcade]
I found another friking keyboard shortcut, for anyone who cares. Alt+left arrow does the same as the back button, or the backspace key when you're not in a text area. I should have known that, in hindsight. Fuck.
Anyway, what I was saying was, that I've been thinking lately of making this journal friends-only. I know I've thought about it before, but lately, I've been making more private and friends-locked entries. Not that any of you knew about the private entries until now, but meh. So I was thinking of it. But I don't think I will unless I want a pretty banner, and I'm certainly not going back and changing almost two years of livejournal into friends locked posts, no sir-ee. So if I was to, I'd just have to.. no, I don't think I will. The entries I want to be friends locked will be, and the others won't. Bah. It's not like I have hordes of screaming zombie-fans or freaky-stalkers anyway. *shrugs*.
*tidies dishes* There. Now I at least have proof that I *was* going to wash the dishes, started tiding them, then realised there wasn't enough there to even bother, and so am saved. It is true, by the way, lately I've been washing the dishes, because hey, it's not like it's difficult, it's not like I'm busy and... yeah. Saves me from strife, which is good.
For the record, I'm not sure that I like Lost. I think I was expecting too much from the first episode, or maybe, just maybe, I was in the wrong mindset while watching it:
[here's one we prepared earlier]
Sharon [Gavin's sister]: So what do you think the monster is?
Me: Clearly it's Zombies. Look at all the bodies. Zombies. Or dinosaurs.
Gavin: You'd think Dinosaurs would leave footprints though.
Meghan: Oh, I get it, it's Dragons - they fly, thus leaving no footprints.
I don't know... the hero guy annoys me. It's his neat little cut thingies on his face, and his "damn I'm manly" attitude. What's his name, Jack.. Yeah. We made fun of him. It was fun.. but yes, possibly not the best way to take the series seriously.
It's not like I don't think it has the potential to be good, I just don't think it's spectacular yet.
[more viewing-conversation]
Gavin: Someone's going to get sucked into that engine. I would put money on it.
Me/Sharon: Yeah, it's going to happen.
*time passes, guy gets sucked in*
Sharon/Me: There one goes, hehe. heheh.
Gavin: Aw.. and I missed it... I got the explosion... damn food... (had been eating at the time)
I find, lately, Thursdays have been fantastic days for me.

Date: 2005-02-04 08:31 am (UTC)Hmm. Creators have said it's not dinosaurs, too big for zombies...Radioactivite monsters maybe?

Date: 2005-02-04 04:37 pm (UTC)YES.
And that stitching scene, I mean, come on, it takes more than a general knowledge of sewing to actually be able to stitch open a gaping wound in someone's living flesssh [If you're wondering, those last italics were said in an imitation of Invader Zims style of speech. You might not know Invader Zim... but it's ok]... because it tends to make people queasy, without practise, that is. At least, you'd think.
Haha, so did we. It was great. And that couple, the husband and wife, I see that pushy husband causing lots and lots of trouble before his unavoidable death. Because we all know he'll die. They always do..
Yep. Charlie is cool.
The creators said it's not dinosaurs... hmmm, well, I'm not going to rule out Dragons. And yeah, it is too big for zombies, really. Which is a pity.
Radioactive monsters, like Godzilla?
I'm so dumb. Close italics tag. Close italics tag.

Date: 2005-02-04 11:07 am (UTC)I'll laugh if Jack was the one to blame, how did he managed to fall on bamboo and not get impaled huh? Huh?
So yeah. Love Charlies line 'terrific'. Heheheheheheh. The asians, what can I say, the girl is nice and fine, the guy is doomed. He is so dead, selfish agro people always die. What else, oh yeah. There was a white sneaker stuck in the bamboo... I reckon they will find some fairly young girl or something and she is half wild cause shes been there a hundred years and no one ages here, the aliens keep 'em alive so they can observe and devour them. also I have ahunch that there is more than one plane crasked there, like there are others that people have yet to rescue, ultimately crushing all hope of rescue. Personally I'd take my chances with the sharks and raft my way out... I didn't see any reef or rip, plus there are sure to be more islands somewhere close, I just hope the huge invisible dinosaur cannot swim :D
Hehehe, when it was focusing on the asian coupled Xeron made some 'giant godzilla' crack... so the tension wasn't reall;y there for us either. But I reckon it will be good. If you keep up with it...

Date: 2005-02-05 01:49 pm (UTC)Yes that dark haired guy, I don't know his nationality, he is evil.
Who? Hero-dude?
Yes. I wouldn't be surprised.
Bald guy, orange in mouth? Yes.
If the baby's not already dead, it won't die in the series, because they can't do that. The mother also won't die.
That blonde chick that wouldn't eat the chocolate is a dumbass that will run instead of stay still and get her boyfriend killed. I agree. Then she'll be all distraught and stuff and hate herself.
fall on bamboo and not get impaled
I would laugh too, but I don't think it'll happen. But yes, that is bizarre.
The asians, what can I say, the girl is nice and fine, the guy is doomed.
Yep. I agree one hundred percent, had already decided that.
As for the young girl... I think so too... hmm. The aliens keep them alive to feed on their juicy meats huh?
Maybe it's the bermuda triangle of DOOM.
I dunno, I think I'd try to get out too, due to strongly believing that fighting what you can't see is insanity.
I think it has potential too... I intend to get addicted.

Date: 2005-02-06 12:12 pm (UTC)You know that guy who was smoking and looking mysterious? I bet you he'll threaten the leadership of Jack at some point 'cos he's jealous and be a pain in the arse till they make up and become best pals or he gets killed tragically.
Dom was good though.
Oh, and I reckon they're some kind of radioactive lizard chicken beast.

Date: 2005-02-07 12:19 pm (UTC)...yep.
Oh, there will be many tragic deaths.
*tuts* that's obsurd. It's obviously a giant flying dragon zombie monster.
