Mmm, Bertie Botts every flavour... beetle?
Oct. 5th, 2004 09:23 pmYay! My mum and bro went to the show today (although I stayed home and studied actively because I am a good girl who cowed into obedience by a crippling terror of failing exams) and my Mum brought me showbags! The Snakes Alive showbag and the Bertie Beetle showbag. I love the Bertie Beetle showbag, which appearantly has been usurped in it's cheapness by some usurping...showbag...of... injustice! I shall smite it! But next year. Yes. The chockies in that bag are so yummy, though.
But I think I can say confidently that study was effectively done today... which is good. And I had nice pies for lunch (My Dad brought some on the way home from work... They were good pies).. so it must be "Give yummy food to Ghan" day. *shrugs* Not complainin'.
Mark Taylor. Remember the name, folks, for your very lives, nay, the lives of... someone important! May depend upon it. [Ok, here's the thing. Have been trying for ages now to remember Who the Aussie Cricket Captain was that retired when he reached the same run-average as Sir Don Bradman because he didn't want to beat him. That be him. Haha, it was quite fun- I asked my Dad (as you do) originally when I first wondered, after History sometime in early term 3. Spent a week wondering, and forgot. Saw the Stand-in Cptn on the front of the newspaper, asked "So did you find out who the guy was?" And my Dad made various pained noises, called Andrew (who was sleeping) greeted him with "G'daymatehowyagoin'?" (I kid you not), found out, and was victorious. Funny!]
Oh, and I was alone for a while today, which I guess isn't good, because I heard a little noise, promptly snaffled Bonnie into the Laundry, re-locked the door, Grabbed the (granite) pestle thing from the kitchen and patrolled in the way of one who was intensely paranoid for about 5 mins, released Bon, went back to work (with Pestle on table...)
Yeah... I shouldn't work myself up like that. *shrugs* I guess if my paranoia is ever warranted, though, I'll be ready.
Only the Paranoid Survive
I need a shirt that says that.
A sad fact occured to me while I was studying today, etching into my memory the effect that Climate and the Physiographic Regions of the South West has on Fauna: had I been studying Geography around 30-40 years ago, I’d be including information about people in the Fauna section, although they wouldn’t be detailed as such... It's shocking that we've been so behind with the whole racisim thing. Did you know that the White Australia Policy, though no longer practised, is still in the constitution-thing? *outraged face*
What else did I have to say? Oh, yes. Was playing Soul Calibur II (In allotted break time, thankyou very much) and I discovered that Ivy is actually quite awesome (though not in... that... costume), as is Raphael. Talim, as I already knew, is the cool. Link will always be my favourite, though, if not my best character, which is Talim, now.
That settles it, then. Next year I am going to become better at everything I'm kind of good at now, and I think drawing's at the top of my list at the moment.

*insaneTriumphant Laughter!*
Oh, I am developing a problem with this whole Sirius thing. (Was browsing the gallery of a very good artist on Deviantart, saw picture that made me thing *wibble* Sirius!, so, clicked on it. Guess who it was? *mad giggle* And didn't even know she was in *the fandom* Even if it doesn't look like how I imagine Sirius/Azkaban anywhoo...
Where was I?
Oh yes, drawing... no, I was finished.... erm.... I... will go now...
