Oh, Steampunk! It's awesome. If you've ever played a 2001 PC game called Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magic Obscura, that whole thing is a good example.
It's kind of Victorian-era fashion and steam technology, pushed further. Like if instead of using electricity and stuff to make things like... computers.. you use steam.. and .. gyroscopes.. and cogs... and goggles. Sometimes there is magic alongside the steam stuff too. It's kind of a sub-culture, I guess? There is fiction and music and games and fashion. It is... my favourite.
