Thanks, but I forgot to mention that this is on my newly acquired (secondhand) power book which has Leopard on it.

It had been in a loop of restarts but as I tried again so that I could post what it had said, I managed to log in so the immediate crisis is averted, I got my essay back. :) Thanks though!
