I'll bite.

Muse: I honestly have never noticed it. On a 2 random song picks ('Invincible' from 'Black Holes and Revelations' and 'Bliss' from 'Origin of Symmetry') I can hear what you are talking about, but it doesn't really annoy me. This was a band that really grew on me after I realised that the other albums are quite different to 'Absolution' (which is still not a favourite, but has also grown on me a bit).

Tool: What song/s or album/s did you listen to? What were you expecting? Being a bit confused is part of the point of Tool, IMHO. There are also different distinct 'eras' of style in Tool; it's worth noting that there were several years between the release of the albums. 'Lateralus' and '10,000 Days' (and to a lesser extent 'Aenima') are very different to 'Undertow' and 'Opiate', so this may be why you didn't get what you were expecting.

Queens of the Stone Age: Josh Homme is the only popular artist that I know of that uses a type of electric guitar that I really want (a Maton Mastersound). This is about all that I know about this band.

Jane's Addiction: Tell me about them, in general.
