And also paranoid that they may somehow, detect my blocking of them and then feel angry/saddened. Which is stranger still, because not only have I never been given any indication that anyone other than leet haxorz can tell when they've been blocked...
It's actually really easy to tell if someone has blocked you.
Have more than one screenname, including the normal one you use for contact and at least one the blocker doesn't know about.
Note that on the normal screenname, the person you suspect of blocking is always signed off. Switch to the other, unknown screenname, and note the possible blocker is online. Voila. Blocker, caught red-handed. If they then block that screenname when you confront them about blocking, repeat n times with n usernames.
It's really, really, really annoying. *has had it done to her twice* And neither was a l33t hacker by any stretch of the word.
