Sardines in a can

You know, I've never understood the lyric "if you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends." If anyone could point out why a girl would want her potential love interest to get with all her friends first, please let me know. Maybe she doesn't like him and is trying to confuse him, so that when he does what she asked she can flip out at him. Yes, that must be it.
Anywaaay, I just had a mad shopping experience. As I'm sure
0deadjournal0 can relate to. Hee! Sorry I lost you there. O_o but it was madness.
It was fun though, I was pretty calm and there were all these angry people. Impatient, angry people. Anyway, I got 2 sets of bathers and some boardies for the price of one (although that one set was very nice and I totally would have brought it if it hadn't been $80), yay happy. I never buy nice surf brand stuff because the prices make me feel sick, but today they were very reasonable, so I have that happy "yay I just got a bargain" glow about me. Hurrah! I stood in a queue for buyings for an hour and a half. An hour and a half! I needed some water so bad. I completely underestimated the pulling power of a new surf shop opening with mad sales. Ha! I thought "7am, not many people are going to be at a shoppning centre at 7am just for some bathers and that stuff" but oh! How wrong I was. It was hilarious. People should not have brought their toddlers though. All the ones I saw looked very concerned.
Um. I would have more to say but I'm kinda tired... and I think I might just sleep for a bit now. Heeeeee. Yay sleep, yay shopping. Although if I'm not careful I can 100% see myself turning into a surf brand yuppie as far as swimming stuff is concerned. I'm dissapointed at the incredibly low quality of the girls clothing with those brands though - the fabric is all thin and cottony and I don't think they'd last. I'm fairly sure that's just whats "in" now though, which I don't understand at all. I don't want to buy clothes that already look old / wrecked. I can do that myself thankyou. In contrast, most of the guy's clothes these brands sell are really nice. :( Jealous. Although it's like a million times more expensive and they totally got stinged with the sales. Hoom. I wish I liked more clothes that were fashionable at the moment, because buying clothes would be SO much easier if I found stuff that I liked more than 1 item per 12 months. Oh well.
I saw the most awesome shoes the other day though O_o they were all red and shiney and high heeled and god I want them. But I don't want to pay $70 for them, because it's nearly Christmas and I should be buying presents for other people, not me, haha. I've pointed them out repeatedly to my mum though so we'll see what happens.
Sleep!
