God damn it!

My  laptop won't install Vista Service Pack 1. It won't do it through that update thing that windows has, and it won't do it through me downloaing the whole pack for five hours over my woeful internet connection. Means I can't use CAD, or CS4, or anything. At least, not the versions I want to use. God damn everything.

Moral of the story - changing your harddrive is always bad, and will never end well, even if you do it properly, and use the disks that came with your computer.

*Rolls around on the floor, screaming and bleeding*

Is there anyone who thinks they can fix it? I will pay you. Dell have been no help "oh, well it's only one thing that's not working through live update, so the problem will probably sort itself out." "But it's a major problem, it's service pack 1, I have software I need to use which needs this to work." "...I think it will probably sort itself out in time." "Whatever." Dell normally are very good, maybe that guy was just a dud, but I'm tired of holding for 20-30 minutes, you know?
So yeah, on the grounds that at this stage I just want it to work and can't fix it myself, I'd rather pay a person I know to fix it than some shop attendant. So, any takers?

I just want service pack one on my computer, I hate everything.
