Yeah, Danielle's back, and yesterday the Writer In Residence was this cool Sci-Fi/Fantasy writer guy with a Swancon tshirt. oooo.
Yeah, so we did this exercise where you imagine a place you know really really well and can picture really clearly, and then you change it's purpose drastically. That done, you imagine someone has been summoned there. It was fun!
I may even go and get what I wrote.. yeah, I think so...
*dances off*....
But I don't trust people. Goddamn paranoia.
So, what we're going to do is, update again later, for anyone who cares. The best thing about this exercise is that I wrote something that I
i. actually liked
ii. can see having a plot that works
iii. was.. cool... wooo

Yep, so, quite happy with the state of things, actually. And yesterday didn't suck half as much as I foresaw, it actually quite amused me.. Yep. Although I think I'm coming down with something, a little irksome. Oh well.

This it the story thing I mentioned earlier. Yes. In small because I didn't want to put it behind a cut, but long entries make me feel guilty.
Nameless walked nervously up the hallway, a lump of heart caught in his throat.
Summons, he had long ago decided, were never a good thing, and were to be ignored or feverishly obeyed accordingly.

However, this was a totally new form of summons, and so, of course, a reason for a mix of abject terror, twitchy paranoia and another, gurgly-snarl emotion that was mute and unlabeled.

He had, of course, heard stories about the Bowling Alley of the Ciminally Insane, or BACI, as it was tentatively called. But none of those stories had come from someone whom had actually been there, so, rightly, Nameless wasn't sure what to expect.

Life had taught him never to trust anything; not light, or dark, bricks or fairy floss. This was different. This time, Nameless considered breaking his primary rule, and decided not to trust himself, in a cautious and tentative way, not dissimilar to the way in which a dog sniffs fire.

BACI was not, strictly speaking, what he had expected. Although the first two letters stood for Bowling Alley, he supposed he should also have taken into account the last two: Criminally Insane.

Any feedback would be muchly appreciated, yes.
Today. Today was another blah day, I think. I didn't really do anything, so nothing really happened. Although some things were amusing, nothing really stands out as "ooh, Livejournal that."
However, I don't appear to have received a gmail invite, and feel appropriately under-appreciated.
